Dr. Martino is a fellowship-trained Gynecologic Oncologist at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pa., where he is the director of Minimally Invasive Surgery in Gynecologic Oncology. He is an assistant professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Penn State College of Medicine and a member of the Penn State Cancer Institute. In addition to a busy clinical oncology practice, Dr. Martino is interested in cancer research and medical education. He has presented his research at both a regional and national level. Some of Dr. Martino’s research publications can be found in peer-reviewed journals such as the Cancer, Gynecologic Oncology, American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Martino has been recognized as a leader by the American Medical Association where he received the AMA Foundation Leadership Award in 2007 for his outstanding service, commitment and dedication to Medicine. He has been instrumental in developing a community cancer education initiative at local colleges and universities to educate students, patients and the general public about the new Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Vaccine. He remains active in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology where he has served as past Junior Chair of the New Jersey Section.
